Dear Players and Parents,
I wanted to take a moment to recap how incredibly well our fitness assessment went. It was exciting to see everyone’s hard-work and enthusiasm as you all completed the testing. Your commitment to your on-ice and off-ice fitness sets a strong foundation for the upcoming season. It can only make you a better hockey player...so commit to be fit!
For those who missed the initial testing, no worries at all. We’ve scheduled on-ice assessments for tomorrow Tuesday, September 10th at 1:30 PM. We’ll also be conducting the off-ice portion of the assessment during dry-land training right after our on-ice practice session. This will ensure that everyone has a chance to complete their assessments and gain that baseline for tracking. If for some reason you missed last week and can not make it tomorrow, please reach out to me directly so we can arrange something.
This week’s on-ice practice theme will be focused on stick-handling and puck control with movement. Our dry-land training will also utilize the stick-handling theme with work being done in the shooting room and we will also continue our group HIIT training as well.
Additionally, I want to let you know that the results from our 1st quarter fitness assessments will be added to your player profiles. We will review these profiles during our upcoming 1-on-1 meetings, which will give us an opportunity to discuss your progress and set goals for the future.
Let’s keep up the great work and bring that same energy to our upcoming practices. I’m looking forward to seeing everyone out there, working hard and having fun!

Dear Players and Parents,
I hope this email finds you well!
This week, we are excited to focus on enhancing our players' explosive power and agility. Our on-ice and off-ice sessions will be centered around drills designed to boost these critical skills, which are essential for improving overall performance on the ice.
On-Ice Sessions:
-Tuesday and Thursday: We will be implementing explosion and agility-based drills. These exercises are intended to help players develop quicker starts, sharp turns, and better maneuverability.
Off-Ice Fitness:
-In conjunction with the on-ice work, our off-ice training will also emphasize explosion and agility. This will include plyometric exercises and agility ladder drills aimed at enhancing your reaction times and quickness.
Important Reminder: There are 2-3 players who have not yet completed their final on-ice/off-ice assessment drills. Please be on the ice promptly at 1:30 PM sharp to finish these assessments events before the regular practice begins.
We appreciate your cooperation and commitment to the training program. Let’s make the most of this week’s theme and continue to push our limits!
