Summit Youth Hockey Safesport Handbook
Creates an environment that puts a potential offender at risk, thereby helping to protect our athletes from:
Sexual Misconduct and Child Abuse
- Physical Misconduct
- Emotional Misconduct
- Bullying
- Threats
- Harassment
- Hazing
All SYH Coaches and Volunteers must be SafeSport Trained and are mandatory reporters.
Policies:
One on One Interaction Policy- Coaches and Volunteers must have another coach, volunteer, or parent present when meeting with athletes.
Locker Room Policy- Coaches, Volunteers, and Parents entering locker rooms must be SafeSport trained.
Travel Policy- Coaches cannot transport athletes. Parents who transport athletes (besides their own child), must have at least one other athlete in the vehicle.
